Das ist mir schon klar. Aber unter 15 Euro scheint in London gar nichts zu gehen. Egal ob Pizza, Hamburger, Kino usw.
Die Stadt gilt im Moment als die teuerste in Europa.

Dafür sind die Musicals halt vergleichsweise spottbillig.
Aber mir würde es echt wehtun, so viel für`s Kino zu bezahlen (selbst als absoluter Fan) - zu dem Preis bekommt man ja schon ein Video oder manche DVD.

Ein Musical haben wir allerdings nicht eingeplant, weil es trotz allem sehr teuer ist. Wir sehen aber ein Stück von Shakespeare im Shakespear's Globe.

Ewan McGregor is fronting a campaign to open Scotland's first cinema for sick kids.

He hopes to raise £250,000 to open a 50-seat movie theatre in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill, Glasgow.

It could treat young patients to previews of blockbuster films before they go on general release. Run by charity MediCinema, it will be only the second facility of its kind in Britain.

Ewan, star of Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge and Star Wars, has voiced an ad appealing for donations which will be seen in cinemas at the end of the month. UGC Glasgow will hold special film preview evenings to raise money for the project.

The first MediCinema was set up in London's St Thomas' Hospital in 1999 and has screened Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Die Another Day before general release.

Charity founder Christine Hill said: "We hope to do similar pre-release previews of blockbusters at Glasgow.

"The new cinema will be built in an existing lecture room and we hope it will be open before the end of the year.

"We are very excited about improving the hospital stay of sick children in Scotland.

Bei eBay kann man anscheinend das "Down with love"-Poster ersteigern. Habe aber gehört, dass es mittlerweile total teuer ist. Wer ist so dumm und bietet jetzt für ein Poster, was es später für einen Euro gibt??

Naja, ich lasse den Esel auch meistens nur über Nacht an, da der PC ansonsten zu langsam ist. Aber "Red Dragon" zum Beispiel ging richtig schnell, in zwei Wochen. Naja, ich habe den Film ja schon gesehen.

Ich kenne mich schon in Berlin aus, aber bei Jugendherbegen kann ich dir leider nicht weiterhelfen. Da ich ja in Berlin wohne, brauchte ich das noch nie. Aber teure Hotels kann ich empfehlen.

Die Preise fürs Kino sind aber wirklich nicht normal. Aber Theater geht eben im Vergleich. Wenn ich mich nicht irre spielt gerade Sean Bean im Shakespear's Globe und zwar in MacBeth. Aber der wird wenn Nelle hinfährt bestimmt nicht mehr da sein. Ein stück von Skakespear würde ich mir aber auch auf jeden fall ansehen, wenn ich in London wäre.

Das "Down With Love" Poster sieht ja klasse aus. Werde dann wohl doch wieder Platz in meinem Zimmer brauchen, ich habe echt zu wenig Wand. Auf den meisten Postern von Ewan sieht man ihn gar nicht oder nur ein bisschen, das ist richtig nervend, mal ein Movieposter von einem Ewan Film zu finden, das gut aussieht.

Ja, wenn wir nach London fahren läuft "Richard der 3." im Shakespeare's Globe. Ich hoffe wir bekommen Sitzplätze, denn sonst muss man ca. 3 Stunden stehen.

Ewan's role in Young Adam

ManchesterOnline has an interview with Peter Mullan, who describes Ewan's role in Young Adam:

He’s just completed Young Adam opposite Ewan McGregor, a very different kind of film by all accounts.

“I play this impotent Barge owner called Les. Ewan arrives on the scene and repays Les’s kindness by proceeding to shag his wife, followed by every other woman in the film! It’s a brilliant role!” exclaims Peter.

“Ewan’s beaming at me like a Cheshire cat because he goes through about eight women in this film. The one sex scene I get - I play a man who can’t get it up! I didn’t get any cast-offs, sloppy seconds, nottin’!

“There’s even two scenes where I’m driving the boat and Ewan’s shagging on the barge steps! I think girls like seeing Ewan getting up to naughties. They seem to go for that for some strange reason…”

Nein, das weiß ich nicht. Ich glaube aber nicht, dass es jemand bekanntes ist.

Ich bezweifle immer noch, dass Young Adam in die Kinos kommt. Und wenn, dann garantiert nur in sehr wenige...

Joe (Ewan McGregor), a rootless young drifter, finds work on a barge traveling between Glasgow and Edinburgh, owned by Leslie (Peter Mullan) and his wife Ella (Tilda Swinton). One afternoon they discover the corpse of a young woman floating in the canal. Accident? Suicide? Murder? As the police investigate and a suspect is arrested, we discover that Joe knows more than he's letting on, and gradually we learn of his past relationship with the dead woman. Meanwhile, an unspoken attraction has developed between Joe and Ella, and claustrophobic tensions evolve between the three of them in the confined space of a barge…

This is a moody and atmospheric piece based on the highly regarded, Scottish beat writer Alexander Trocchi's novel.

Das Interview ist ja genial. Der letzte Satz ist wirklich spitze, wirklich sehr amüsant. Mal wieder so richtig typisch Ewan.

Ich denke schon das "Young Adam" hier in die Kinos kommt, wenn er sogar in Belgiem und so läufen. Naja hauptsache er läuft wenigstens in einem Kino in Berlin, das würde mir ja schon reichen.

Shakespear würde ich mir aber auf jeden Fall ansehen, egal wer spielt, im Shakespear Globe werden die das wohl alle ziemlich alle gut können.

@Bant: Diesmal habe ich keine Ahnung, wer das auf deinem Avatar sein soll. Beim allerersten flüchtigen Drüberschauen dachte ich noch kurz an Robert Redford in einem seiner Gefängnisfilme, aber das steht beim Hinschauen außer Frage.

Oh man, ist Ewan wirklich so schwer auf dem Bild zu erkennen?
Das finde ich ja mal geil, endlich mal ein Avatar, das nicht gleich erkannt wird, außer von Nelle, die sowieso alles immer erkennt.
Aber wenn ich ehrlich bin, man erkennt es in der Größe wirklich nicht gleich, nur wenn man auf bestimmte Dinge achtet.

Was mir noch eingefallen ist, "Hamlet" würde ich zu gerne mal auf der Bühne sehen. Frag mich jetzt aber nicht woe ich darauf gekommen bin.
